On the Raw after WrestleMania 41, The Man, Becky Lynch, turned on her then-tag team partner, Lyra Valkyria. The two have been going after each other week after week. Last night on Monday night Raw, the two stars exchanged words. Then, Lynch attempted a cheap shot but it backfired and Valkyria took out The Man.
Following that encounter, Becky Lynch was a guest on The Raw Recap show. During her interview, The Man claimed that she had never changed and also praised Lyra Valkyria. She also mentioned that the reason she is upset with Valkyria is because she lost and made a fool of The Man.
“I haven’t changed. No. I haven’t changed. What has changed about me? I told you how good she [Lyra Valkyria] was. I told you she was great. And what does she do? She goes and loses. She made a fool out of me, she made a fool out of me. So, I beat her up. She acts like she never got beat up before. This is wrestling and that’s what we do. And now, she’s coming after me. Saying that she is better than me, when I leterally wrote the road map fo her to follow. I’ve wrote a book on it. New York Times Best Selling book. Megan [Morant]’s read it.
“And I don’t know about you [Sam Roberts]. Maybe you can learn a thing or two. I gave her the road map. And then she comes at me? She says she’s better than you? ‘I am better than you.’ The Arrogance. The Arrogance. As if she wouldn’t even have a dream if it wasn’t for me. Like, she wouldn’t know what wrestling is. She thinks I invented wrestling.”
Becky Lynch assures that Lyra Valkyria can never be a better version of The Man
“You [Sam Roberts] think that she’d be in the WWE, the biggest professional wrestling business of all-time, you think she’d do that if I didn’t do what I did? You think that? Do you think that I get to claim any bit of success that she has? She’s just trying to be me. And I know that she is trying to be a better version of me. But she can’t be a better version of me because I’m the greatest to ever do it. Sports Illustrated says it.”
The Man also said that she did not expect this side of Lyra Valkyria. She was caught by surprise.
“No. I’m aghast. I met the quiet and nice, polite girl. I said, ‘Look, listen to me, you like birds, I like birds. Let me take you under my wing,’” Becky Lynch said.
