Alexa Bliss made her long-awaited return to WWE programming tonight on SmackDown, but not in the way you would expect.
Earlier today, it was reported that Bliss was expected at tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, but it was unknown if she would be appearing on the show.
Early on in the show, a tag match was set up with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven taking on Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega and a partner of her choosing.
Green and Niven didn’t expect Vega to find a partner. And they certainly didn’t expect it to be the returning Alexa Bliss. The WWE Universe was very excited for this return, as you can see in the embedded video below:

The finish saw Bliss hit Green with the Sister Abigail DDT to score the pinfall for her team.
