Wardlow Pitches Batman Movie Role To James Gunn

Wardlow wants to play a major Batman villain, and he is letting James Gunn know his intention.

All Elite Wrestling’s Wardlow hasn’t competed for his home promotion in more than a year. He last competed at AEW Dynamite “Big Business” special, losing to Samoa Joe in a world title match on March 13, 2024.

His absence was originally (reportedly) tied to a torn labrum injury before the big man himself alluded to escaping “banged up” in a car accident. Now, Wardlow has once again taken to social media, this time with a message for James Gunn.

The former AEW TNT Champion is letting the DC Studio’s top executive know he wants to play Bane before acknowledging a major star’s interest in the role.

“Hey @JamesGunn if you need a Bane and Dave Bautista is busy, I’m your guy,” he posted.

Wardlow recently landed American Gladiators

Wardlow may be absent from pro wrestling, but he seems to be building up his resume elsewhere.

The big man recently made it to the cast of American Gladiators reboot. The new season will feature 16 total Gladiators, eight women and eight men. Fellow AEW star Kamille is also reportedly starring in the show.

Former multi-time WWE Champion The Miz is joining the show as its host. However, Miz’s involvement raised some speculations on social media with many wondering about the possibility of WWE and AEW stars appearing together on a show.
