Lee made her highly anticipated return on WWE SmackDown, confronting Becky Lynch. Following her appearance, reports confirmed that she had signed a multi-year deal with the company. Triple H even posted a video of Lee signing her new contract shortly after SmackDown on his social media.
Fightful Select reported more details on AJ Lee’s comeback, confirming that she signed a multi-year deal. Bodyslam.net also reported this detail about Lee’s contract. Furthermore, WWE doesn’t see this as a one-off return, and AJ’s run will go beyond a single match.
WWE kept Lee’s return a secret and left her name off the internal rundown for SmackDown. Still, many in the company expected her comeback after the setup at Clash in Paris. Many believed the company wouldn’t push the story so strongly without a plan.

AJ Lee attacked WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch after Lynch once again went after her husband, CM Punk. Now, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Lee will appear on the upcoming episode of RAW at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Reports also suggest that Lee will wrestle her first match at WWE’s next premium live event WrestlePalooza in a mixed tag team match with CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. It will be interesting to see if are now waiting to see if WWE makes this match official on RAW.
