Liv Morgan‘s alleged stalker has been denied release ahead of his trial.
According to Cultaholic, Shawn Chan had previously requested that legal authorities reconsider their decision to hold him without bail. His trial is scheduled to begin in November on federal charges, including interstate domestic violence.
Chan was arrested outside the WWE Performance Center in June after allegedly attempting to gain access to Liv Morgan’s residence. Reports noted that he had flown from Scarborough, Ontario, to Orlando, Florida, on May 26, telling customs officials he would be staying at the Performance Center.
Chan’s attorney informed the court that they had secured a Salvation Army facility for him to stay at while awaiting trial. However, the court denied the request, ruling that Chan posed a danger to the community and that the proposed location did not meet the legal requirements for reconsideration of his detention.
The court also cited a psychological evaluation that determined Chan suffers from a “delusional disorder and has a delusion regarding the victim.” If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.
