Popular Indy Wrestling Promotion Announces Indefinite Hiatus

A popular independent wrestling promotion has announced it will cease operations for the foreseeable future.

William Quintana, owner of Prestige Wrestling, revealed on X/Twitter that he will run four more Prestige shows before the promotion goes on an indefinite hiatus.

“This post will come as a surprise to most, and I am so sorry that I have to do this,” Quintana wrote. “The last year has been the most difficult of my life on both a personal and professional level. I have been going non-stop since I was 16 years old, when I dropped out of school to start touring, booking bands, and starting businesses.”

He continued: “I fear I am losing ‘the feeling,’ and I need to take a break to rediscover my passion. I’ve always put 100% into Prestige Wrestling with the goal of making memories for our fans, wrestlers, and staff that will last a lifetime, and I hope we’ve accomplished that. My greatest fear has always been to die and be completely forgotten. Hopefully, the last eight years will be enough to leave that legacy behind.”

Quintana also announced two of the four remaining Prestige Wrestling dates and urged pro wrestling fans to continue supporting other independent promotions, including West Coast Pro, Deadlock Pro Wrestling, and DOA Pro Wrestling.

Founded in 2017, Prestige Wrestling quickly rose to prominence as one of the leading independent promotions in the Pacific Northwest. Its past champions include Alan Angels, Titus Alexander, Starboy Charlie, and Alex Shelley, with TNA’s Judas Icarus currently holding the Prestige Wrestling Championship.
