After weeks of speculation, the mysterious masked man finally revealed themselves tonight on WWE RAW.
Logan Paul took on Rey Mysterio tonight in the main event of WWE RAW. Earlier in the show, Paul seemingly implied to The Vision that he might know who the mysterious masked man is who has been helping them out since Survivor Series.
Paul Heyman continued to proclaim to anyone who would listen that he didn’t know who the mystery man was. However, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce made it clear he wanted answers by the end of tonight’s show. Lucky for him, we got them.
In the closing moments of the main event, the masked man once again made his presence felt, hitting Rey Mysterio with a stomp, allowing Paul to pick up the victory. After the match, the masked man got on the apron and had a staredown with Logan Paul. It appeared he might enter the ring, but CM Punk hit the ring and sent the masked man running through the crowd instead.
But once safely in the crowd, the masked man decided to reveal himself as none other than Austin Theory. Bron Breakker took advantage of the distraction and delivered a brutal spear on CM Punk to close the show.
Austin Theory was in the mask at Survivor Series: WarGames
While WWE attempted to throw fans off the scent by having multiple people portray the masked man in recent weeks, Theory was the original man behind the mask at Survivor Series.
The company has been looking for a way to bring Theory back for a while, as he was initially planned for the WarGames match itself before multiple injuries led to plans changing.
