WWE has reportedly agreed to add another young prospect to its roster by signing rising independent wrestling talent. Sources say Nikki Blackheart has signed a deal and will likely report to the WWE Performance Center soon.
Before the reports of her WWE signing, Blackheart shared on Instagram that she had been invited to attend a WWE tryout camp. In an Instagram post, she called the opportunity a “pinch me moment” and thanked the people who supported her along the way.
The tryout camp also included a special training session called Lodestone, organized by Bayley. Several top WWE stars attended the session, including John Cena, Charlotte Flair, Natalya, and Lyra Valkyria.
Nikki Blackheart Reportedly Set To Join WWE
Blackheart took part in WWE tryouts last month. According to BodySlam+, WWE has decided to move forward and sign her after seeing her potential.
The reported signing comes shortly after Blackheart lost the MPX Women’s Championship to Priscilla Kelly. The title change seemed to hint at her exit from the independent wrestling scene.
Around the same time, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling announced that Blackheart would no longer appear at its Voyageur Cup events scheduled for March 13 and 14. This added to the speculation that she was heading to WWE.
Blackheart has made a name for herself on the independent circuit, even though she is still quite new to pro wrestling. She made her professional debut at CCW Breakout 37 in June 2024 and soon gained attention for her strong presence.
Much of her early career took place in Coastal Championship Wrestling in Florida, and she even won the CCW Women’s Championship.
Blackheart has also wrestled for other promotions such as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Metroplex Wrestling, and 4th Rope Wrestling.
While WWE has not confirmed when she will officially report to the Performance Center, it will be interesting to see if Blackheart will be able to live up to her Indie reputation.
