Randy Orton has teased something massive in his “mystery caller” storyline just before WWE SmackDown heads to his hometown of St. Louis.
This storyline started after Orton’s heel turn. During the contract signing for WrestleMania 42, the Viper attacked Rhodes and left him bloodied.
Since then, Randy Orton has been shown talking to someone on the phone, calling himself a “killer” and saying “wrestling has more than one royal family.” That line seemed like a direct shot at Rhodes and his legacy, and it has led to many theories about who is behind all this.
Randy Orton hints at meeting mystery caller in St. Louis
Randy Orton has recently shared a video on social media that has made fans even more curious. In the short clip, Orton is standing in front of a display case filled with personal items, like a photo of his father and grandfather, an American flag, and his championship trophies.
In the video, Orton is talking to his mystery caller on the phone. The Viper can be heard saying, “Likewise man! I appreciate everything you have been doing for me…Yeah, I think that we are good to go…This Friday, right? I will see you in St. Louis.”
This clearly hints that the mystery person he has been talking to could finally be revealed on the April 3, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown at the Enterprise Center.
What was also interesting was that after the phone call, Orton looked at the photo of his father and grandfather.
Fans have been speculating many names behind the mystery call. One of them is Bob Orton Jr., Randy’s father. Now, it can actually be true since his photo was shown in the video. Other possible names include Ric Flair, The Rock, and even members of the McMahon family. All of them connect to the idea of legacy and power, which seems to be driving Orton right now.
This also ties into Orton bringing back his “Legend killer” side. He has made it clear that attacking Rhodes was part of his plan to get back to the top.
As Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 is getting closer, this reveal could be very important. Whoever is behind him could change everything.
