Brooke Hogan has voiced strong concerns about the portrayal of her father, Hulk Hogan, in the recent Netflix documentary. She suggested the project may have left out more than it revealed.
Speaking on The Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Hogan reflected on the documentary’s approach. She acknowledged its presentation while questioning its accuracy and depth.
Brooke Hogan criticizes the Hulk Hogan documentary for missing key details
Hogan stated that while the documentary captured the surface-level milestones of her father’s wrestling career, it lacked critical real-life context. “[It] captured every single moment of his career… it was definitely a showcase piece,” she said, before adding, “in my opinion it was missing about 98% of critical real life factual information.”
She went further, explaining that the version presented on screen didn’t align with her lived experience. “I feel like I was living in an alternate universe… I didn’t realize this is how it went down,” Hogan said, noting that certain elements were “glossed over,” including what she described as key personal storylines.
Hogan also pointed to how familiar controversies were framed. “They acted like everything… was news to everybody,” she said. “We knew about steroids and we knew about drugs… but there were many key things that tie in.”
Her comments add another layer to the ongoing discussion around the documentary. The documentary has already drawn attention for its handling of Hogan’s personal and professional history. Notably, Hogan herself did not appear in the film beyond archival audio, despite her central role in the Hogan family narrative during previous public projects.
Hogan’s remarks suggest that, while the documentary may have pinned the highlights, it may not have fully covered the full match card of real-life events, leaving gaps that those closest to the story still question.
As the conversation around the documentary continues, Hogan’s perspective highlights the difference between a produced narrative and personal experience — two versions of the same story that don’t always tag in together.
