Mick Foley Reacts to His Upcoming AEW Debut

Mick Foley has commented on his upcoming AEW debut.

AEW was reportedly showing ‘real interest’ in bringing Mick Foley into the company once his WWE Legends contract expired. On Wednesday, AEW owner Tony Khan confirmed Foley will join the company starting with its Double Or Nothing pay-per-view at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York on Sunday night.

Foley will be the new co-host of AEW’s The Buy In pay-per-view kickoff show alongside Renee Paquette. Khan did not explicitly state how long Foley will be around, but it was implied that he will make regular appearances rather than a one-time deal.

Mick Foley also reacted to his upcoming AEW debut after the news went public. Taking to Instagram, the WWE Hall of Famer expressed his excitement, saying he is looking forward to seeing Tony Khan for the first time in 15 years and reconnecting with AEW’s roster.

“FOLEY IS ALL ELITE! I am extremely happy to be making my debut with @aew – joining @reneepaquette on the #DoubleOrNothing pre-show. Looking forward to seeing @tonyrkhan for the first time in many years (we had lunch fifteen years ago) and meeting up with AEW’s amazing roster.”

Fellow Long Island native MJF also reacted to the news, responding to the post with a clearly sarcastic “…….great.”
