Tony Atlas is a champion once again, winning his latest title at the ripe old age of 72.
Atlas, a former WWF Tag Team Champion and 2006 WWE Hall of Famer, won Independent Superstars of Professional Wrestling’s Tri-State Championship this weekend. Atlas faced off with “The A Player” Anthony at ISPW’s BaseBrawl 2 event at Wallington High School in Wallington, NJ.
The match was contested under a unique stipulation, as it was a tag team match featuring Atlas and Mr. Joe Clean against “The Assistant” Angel Reyez and Anthony, who could lose his title if he was pinned. That ultimately was the case, and Atlas is the new champion.
ISPW Wrestling is a New Jersey-based independent wrestling promotion that specializes in wrestling fundraiser events. This year’s Basebrawl event helped raise money for Wallington Little League.
