Corey Graves is best known as a pro wrestler and WWE commentator, but fans recently learned about another surprising career accolade.
During the WWE Clash in Italy Premium Live Event, Michael Cole and Corey Graves were giving on-air shout-outs to the local Italian celebrities in the crowd. Cole then playfully outed Graves as being a Bollywood movie star, as he has a unique acting credit on his resume.
“The man to my right is also a movie star,” Michael Cole said. “Because a couple of decades ago, Corey Graves starred in a film called Kingdom of Gladiators. [It] was filmed a few miles up the road here from Turin. He is a Bollywood movie star, they love you over there.”
“While factually accurate, I was hoping you wouldn’t bring that up,” Graves replied.
“Once a king made a pact with an ancient demon. Now, he has come to collect and a group of rival gladiators fight for the survival of the kingdom,” reads the official synopsis.
Graves starred in the movie (credited under his real name, Matt Polinsky) as Gunnar. The film also featured former women’s indie pro wrestling star Annie Social as Teela.
Graves has spoken about the role before, sharing that he was offered the role before his WWE days. He joked that he wanted to devise a drinking game to make people watch the movie. However, he ultimately praised the experience and getting to live in Italy for a month.
Kingdom of Gladiators is available to stream for free on Tubi.
