Octagon Jr. appears to have sustained a serious injury at the AAA Noche de Los Grandes week two tapings.
AAA had the tapings for the second week of the Noche de Los Grandes event last night. The show featured a fatal five-way match between Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado, Mini Vikingo, and Octagon Jr. During the contest, Octagon Jr. took a DDT from Wilde off the top rope.
However, Octoagon Jr. didn’t move after the impact and appeared to have hurt his neck. As the other wrestlers continued the match, unaware of the seriousness of the injury, the referee threw up the “X” sign. The medical team came out, helped him out of the ring, and stretchered him to the back.
The 35-year-old is the third wrestler to use the Octagon Jr. name. He is a former AAA Latin American and World Trios Champion. He also competed in WWE Money in the Bank 2025, where he unsuccessfully challenged Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.
Week one of AAA Noche de Los Grandes aired live last night. The highly anticipated mask vs. mask match between El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) and the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) was the main event. The former emerged victorious, and Gable was forced to unmask.
