The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE has trademarked three NXT names which might suggest those names will have a definite future in WWE on the main roster after NXT is over. The names are Wade Barrett, David Otunga and Daniel Bryan. It should be noted, however, that David Otunga is the real names of that performer, so technically WWE does not have the right to "own" the name.
