2016 WWE Mock Draft Part Two: General Managers, NXT Talent and Undertaker

Like Mel Kiper, you always need your Todd McShay. Instead of going with the usual people, I went outside of the box and completed a mock draft with one of the smartest and dedicated fans of wrestling. I have known Bryan Flory (@bflow82) for the better part of two decades and he could be the smartest guy in the room. (How you doin?) Let’s have some fun and draft for RAW and Smackdown. As you know, the fans make this website and he might be the biggest fan of Wrestlezone, Josh Isenberg and Brother Nero. Bryan will be taking over RAW, while I draft for Smackdown.

Part One of the 2016 WWE Mock Draft can be read here.

Let’s Goooooooo!

American Alpha- RAW

I may have reached for American Alpha, but going back to my previous point about pure wrestling, these guys are phenomenal. I love the parallels to Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, but I think that American Alpha has even greater potential. Jordan and Gable complement each other extremely well, and have possibly the brightest future of any NXT tag team outside of Enzo and Cass.

Sheamus – Smackdown

The original heel can be used in so many avenues still. Sheamus is Smackdown. I enjoyed his work most when he had more time to work in the ring. His stuff with Del Rio was funny, but that seems a million years ago. He can ride the wave of being the most hated heel on the roster better than riding a bull. (He loves his alcohol in Dallas). Fella, Sheamus should land on the blue brand, help Finn and others feel a sort of importance and possibly realign with Rusev down the road.

 Chris Jericho – RAW

When you are building a roster, you have to have a few guys that can play any part of show. From main event to putting new guys over (read: Fandango), Jericho can play any role. Admittedly, I love this version of Jericho. If you don’t, well then you are a stupid idiot.

Vaudevillians- Smackdown

Like my idea of the Tag Team Champions floating, Simon and Aiden could continue to grow on Tuesday nights. I wanted Smackdown to be all about creativity, uniqueness and intrigue. Where in the hell is a manager for them? The guy in their video should be a real thing.
