#4.) vs AJ Styles – Impact Wrestling 2012

Bobby Roode was having an incredible run as TNA World Heavyweight Champion and it was clear that he was approaching AJ Styles’ record of 211 days as world champion. His final hurdle before breaking the record? The Phenomenal One himself. On the May 24th episode of Impact Wrestling, Roode defended the world title against Styles.

The match was one of the best matches in TNA that year, with the story being about how Roode was desperately trying to cling on to the world title to surpass Styles’ reign (he would break it the next day). After an incredible effort, Roode finally managed to put away The Phenomenal One and break his record. He would go on to hold the title for a total of 256 days.
