WWE and Brock Lesnar shocked the world at Money in the Bank 2019 when he unexpectedly replaced Sami Zayn and became Mr. Money in the Bank. It was first supposed to be Braun Strowman in the role, but Sami Zayn defeated him for the spot, albeit with a little assistance. The story backstage was that Zayn was afraid of Strowman chasing him and The Monster Among Men did, in fact, show up.

Sami Zayn was later found hung upside down, with Strowman being the first suspect. He denied it and fans were left wondering as to who could have done it. The men’s ladder match proceeded on in the main event per usual, but just as Ali was getting his hands on the briefcase, Brock Lesnar’s music hit.

Lesnar, who had never been anywhere near the Money in the Bank as a competitor, suddenly found himself in a position to take advantage – shockingly grabbing the briefcase to become Mr. Money in the Bank. There was a lot of speculation as to why it happened. Here are a few theories why.
