How WWE Could Change Under Paul Heyman & Eric Bischoff’s Creative Direction

#4.) Relative lack of authority figures

Authority figures aren’t as heavily present in mid-2019, but there is one McMahon who dominates the show on-screen – Shane. Usually, there is always a minimum of one authority figure who has a dominant presence and ever-increasing screen-time. With WWE fans clearly tired of seeing Shane McMahon over and over as WWE’s top heel, the entire concept or “necessity” of an authority figure might go down.

Heyman and Bischoff know very well that the entire purpose of an authority figure is to simply further the storyline of other superstars and be present when it’s required. While NXT does this well with William Regal, the same can’t be said for the main roster. This might be one of the major creative changes made.
