Some Quick Thoughts

When real life creeps in front of your fun, you have to take a step back occasionally. Thanks to everyone who wondered where KK has been but things are starting to smooth out.

I read Eric Gargiulo’s blog at phillyburbs.com regarding TNA becoming safe haven for drug test failures from the WWE and I couldn’t agree more. One of the reasons that the WWE dropped the drug testing back in the mid 90’s was because WCW was gaining ground, signing athletes away who didn’t want to comply with WWE drug policies. Well done, Eric.

What happened to the King on commentary? Who neutered him? He used to be a heel, right? Why isn’t he getting on Shawn Michaels about hating Orton and how that could be his undoing?

Not since Adam Sandler’s Opera Man has there been a fake Italian more enjoyed than Santino Marella. Doing a beer bath job to Austin was fine for Santino but getting schooled by Lawler? They have a guy that’s over so why kill him off now?

The Contender final between Jaidon Codrington and Sakio Bika was the best fight I have seen in a long time. I love the Contender and can’t wait for next season.

But… I always hated Tough Enough. I hated it when I worked there. I hated when I left and I still hate it today. I hated Morrison and Miz’s commentary on ECW and those two reality show rejects need to get a clue.

I read that JBL got on Morrison and Miz but my Texas friend, you are wasting your time. Some guys, no matter how talented, just will never get it and those two will never get it.

Tough Enough was flawed from the start because you can’t create wrestlers from a game show and the fact that no Tough Enough alum has ever done anything is proof. Matt Morgan has the biggest upside because he gets it.

I saw that Johnny Carson was voted the biggest TV icon, with Lucille Ball second. Out of a list of 100, I was surprised that Vince McMahon didn’t make the list. On TV for 30 years, the man behind cable TV’s most enduring, ratings-grabbing shows… geez, what’s a billionaire got to do to get noticed?

I look forward to the return of Chris Jericho to Raw and I will be watching.
