The Rock and John Cena vs. Awesome Truth:

What I Liked:

Having The Rock start off the match was the right choice. If you did not, the crowd would have caused chaos. The crowd was so into this match, into seeing The Rock. He delivered early and often, with great hip tosses, speed, and a fisherman’s suplex that the crowd stood and cheered for. I loved the “You still got it” chants. Rock was great, but it was when Cena came in when things got more interesting. The action was quick, but Cena slowed the pace down to what he was comfortable with. It was a good thing when we saw Cena get beaten down, having Rock have to save the team. Cena really did not do much that was memorable. I will praise him when needed, but he really did not do much and was not asked to do much. Rock with the Rock Bottom got the crowd hot. Miz and Truth had a solid match, but was not really watched as carefully for obvious reasons.

What I Disliked:

How Awesome Truth was not over at all. It was like seeing the Packers playing the Colts, completely overmatched and a careless attitude from the crowd. Miz is great as a single’s star, but Truth drags him down. Both became so irrelavent when they were off TV and losing to Cena on Raw. They did not get the right push, and their steam fizzled at the worst possible time. The People’s Elbow should not have given Rock the win. I love the move, but it is not a finisher. The Cena and Rock confrontation was too drawn out with the same results. It wasn’t shocking to see Rock on top at the end of the night, but this was ideal for Cena to turn heel. It did not happen….again. If the last thing you see is Rock Rock Bottom Cena, do it faster and not waste too much time. It makes Cena look like a wuss, and makes the crowd want something memorable, not something repetitve.
