Matt MorganThe Main Event

Sting defeated Matt Morgan and will face Bully Ray at TNA Slammiversary. There were a few bullet points I noticed tonight from the beginning of the night to the end.

1. Matt Morgan has the intense look and the intelligence on the microphone. He is articulate and knows how to come off aggressive yet intelligent. That is something that not many heels can do.

2. Matt Morgan is much more versatile in the ring. He and Sting had a really good match, but the chemistry in the ring is what I noticed. Morgan was mocking Hogan and mocking his movements. I loved the fact that he is taking personal shots at Hogan. He is a heel who is trying to save the company. That is out of whack, but actually different.

3. No matter how much younger talent gets pushed, they are not Sting or Hulk Hogan. Sting can still go. He shows it everytime he works a match. What does Sting gain by beating or fighting Bully Ray? Maybe he sells more Pay Per Views, but they already cut back on those events anyways. TNA is growing up fast, but they are relying too much on guys who need to be more of a nostalgia act. Sting does not need to fight for a title. Morgan does. Plain and simple.
