WWE SmackdownThe Undercard

The Uso's defeated Rhodes Scholars in tag team action. The match was decent for a few reasons. With all of my hate aside, Jimmy and Jey CAN be entertaining at times. They have an offense catered for the fans. I still feel like this match was carried by the sheer aggression of Sandow, who kicked down an Uso and hit a Russian Leg Sweep. Sandow and Rhodes made a few quick tags, but the Uso's took over from there. They toss Rhodes to the outside and hit a double splash from the top. It was a decent match, but I still wonder why THEY are the guys picked to face The Shield. Who is really interested in this match in a week? Not me.

Grade: C+

Alicia Fox defeated Kaitlyn in a match that was very similar to last week against Aksana. AJ Lee comes out and distracts Kaitlyn by prancing around. Alicia Fox rolls up Kaitlyn from behind. That is pretty much all that happened. I need WWE to do something more now with the feud. AJ costs Kaitlyn a match. What else?

Grade: D

Randy Orton defeated Christian in a great bout between two of the best on Smackdown. This match was properly booked for both guys. You go into this match not expecting Christian to win. To start the match, Christian gets control of Orton and sends him to the outside. Christian hits a few punches to the face of Orton and takes him down with a scoop slam. The match goes back and forth until Randy Orton reverses Christian's attempt for a springboard move. Christian goes for the Killswitch but is reversed. Randy tries an RKO, but Christian reverses it as well. The match goes back and fort, both guys always one step ahead. Christian hits a spear and Orton kicks out. The pace was perfect throughout and Orton finished him off with an RKO. This match was excellent. Christian does not need a win, but Orton does. Orton is a darkhorse in the ladder match. He needs it badly to be seen as a WWE Champion again.

Grade: A-

Dolph Ziggler defeated Drew McIntyre in another wasted match for Ziggler. You can tell WWE in being careful with Dolph's return. They do not want anything to really stretch what he can do in the ring. Concussions are being taken seriously these days and for good reason.

Grade: C-

Fandango defeated Justin Gabriel in a quick squash match. Fandango remains the same with an extremely marketable Summer Rae. He hits a few moves and connects with the leg drop from the top rope. I want to see more from Fandango. He needs to be handed matches longer than 10 minutes. This one lasted about 4. It was that long because of his dancing too. His character is great, but there needs to be a next step for him. Why wouldn't WWE book him in a match against someone in the ladder match?
