tna genesisKurt Angle defeated Bobby Roode in a Steel Cage Match. The match was fantastic. Two men who have such a rough history with one another are locked inside a cage and put everything on the line. Angle and Roode know each other so well that it seems like they can easily guess where the other one will be without planning. It looks simple, organic and natural for both men. Angle takes the early advantage and hits three German Suplexes. Roode turns the tables and gets the advantage with a spinebuster. Angle hits an Angle Slam, but Roode kicks out. The pace takes a slower and more methodical approach after this. Angle connects with kicks, while Roode hits multiple punches to the face of Angle. Angle leaps off the cage for a moonsault, only to come up empty handed. Angle, at his age, still has an amazing athletic ability that is second to none. Kurt Angle finally picks up the win after a physical bout by jumping off the cage and grabbing at his knee. This is just a great work of art and was an excellent match that had so much time to develop. I enjoyed the simplicity of the storyline that they went with.

Score: 9/10

Magnus defeated Sting in a Championship vs. Contract match. If this is really the end of Sting, he had a great ride with TNA. He made a ton of money barely appearing and hurting his body. If anything, he could be in great shape now because of the easy work load he has had. As for the match, it was pretty solid. I expected some sort of interference, which we got from Bobby Roode, Zema Ion, Bad Influence and The BroMans. Kurt Angle would try and save Sting, by clearing the ring with multiple German Suplexes and Angle Slams on the heels. Sting tries for a Stinger Splash into the corner, only for Magnus to get out of the way and the referee taking the bump. Bobby Roode comes out and attacks Sting, which allowed Magnus to hit his finisher. Earl Hebner comes out and makes the pin. Magnus win, Sting is gone.

As I was saying about Sting, he still has some left in the tank. I really hope that this was the end of his run in TNA. There is nothing for him there and nothing for him to accomplish. Put on your big boy pants and make a million bucks in WWE. Sting needs to be there and needs to cash in while he can. He is over 50 and is going to only get slower as time goes on.
