Stars in Progress: Bray Wyatt vs The Shield, Dolph Ziggler Down, “Cesaro”, Usos Winning Me Over

Have I mentioned that Voice of Wrestling returns on Monday, February 24, 2014? If not, well..it does. In fact, Vince McMahon found the return of VOW to be so monumental, he planned the launch of his multi-million dollar project — The WWE Network — around the same day. So, if you don't trust me that it's going to be big, trust that!

Enough already…

Stars in ProgressThe Usos – One Step Up

I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. Such was the case when I finally jumped on Daniel Bryan's bandwagon. I never saw the superstardom in him that so many claim to have seen from the beginning.

The dude is simply over. And it would be impossible to argue anything else at this point.

The Usos have been a similar issue up until last night. I've seen many wrestling columnists and fans collectively drinking their Kool-Aid for months, but I refused to partake. It wasn't because I didn't think they "could" have a bright future, but rather that it was too early to tell. And, to be honest, it still is.

It's no secret they're talented. Athletic. Charismatic, even. But none of those things guarantee any high level of success. There has to be good, creative storytelling behind those attributes, and many times, at least a modicum of luck is required.

The good thing they have going for them is the fact they're in the tag division. Standing out in a crowd is much easier when there is no actual crowd. Plus, they look, act and feel like a real tag team.

It doesn't hurt either that they get to work with an established team like The Outlaws. I'm just curious if WWE plans to have them talk more at some point, or if this will be a situation where their in-ring work is supposed to do the talking for them.

Their match last night certainly won me over to their skills as a unit "in" the ring. And while I still need plenty of convincing when it comes to their work outside of it, I'm much more excited to see where they go than I was before last night.
