Wrestlezone Top 10: Chris Jericho’s All-Time Greatest PPV Singles Matches

#7 – The Rock, WWE Royal Rumble 2002

The RockShortly after becoming the Undisputed Champion – a fact he will never let you forget – Jericho defended his new title(s) against The Rock. This is their second best contest, as you will see later on, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a match worth checking out. With no stipulations and no silly gimmicks attached, two of WWE’s best stars ever went out and put on a great wrestling match, with the winner almost certain to go on to WrestleMania XIX. Not much to say about this one, except that it’s good, and it’s Jericho during the height of his main event push – which of course, was mostly just a set-up for Triple H to take the throne back at Mania.

#6 – Triple H, WWF Fully Loaded 2000

This Last Man Standing match is the best contest between two guys who helped shape the WWE upper-card when Steve Austin and The Rock weren’t in the title picture. Growing in popularity around the same time, fighting the same stars, and both destined for greatness, you knew this was going to be something special. Plus, it was for the WWF Championship, in a match that could have catapulted Y2J to superstardom.
