Title This: WWE Raw Reaction “Last Stop Before Battleground”

Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal Opponents

wwe raw reactionThe Miz defeated Sheamus

I was a big fan of this match for a few reasons. This was the first time in months that Miz was given plenty of time to work his offense. He is underrated because he does not have one real strong feature, but does not have a real weakness. I liked the combination on the steel steps, working on the legs of the much bigger Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior gets his offense going with some shoulder blocks and chops to the chest. Miz picked up a cheap win when Sheamus missed a move into the corner and he rolled him up for the win.

The Miz needed the win to establish some sort of credibility. I can see him winning the Battle Royal. I just cannot see him being added if he is not a serious consideration for claiming the vacant championship. Miz is really doing a great job with his tweaked gimmick and it will only get better if they give him time and importance.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Fandango

This strange feud keeps going, but I was entertained by this segment. Ziggler and Fandango were overshadowed by Summer Rae and Layla, who are not against Fandango. They begin to dance on the table and distracts both men. Ziggler hits a Fameasser for the win. Ziggler leaves with the ladies.

The match was nothing special, but it gives Ziggler the possibility of creating something different for his character could be the silver lining. Ziggler needs to have women on his arm at all times. THAT IS HIS GIMMICK. This needs to be used from now for Dolph, letting Ziggler have all the women around him. It is believable.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Rob Van Dam

Del Rio hits a kick to the back of Van Dam’s head for a two count. He kicks away at RVD on the mat and begins to work on his neck. RVD hits some clotheslines and then hits a Rolling Thunder. RVD hits a scissors kick and heads to the top. Del Rio gets his knees up and locks RVD into the Cross Armbreaker for the win.

If anyone thinks RVD should win on Sunday, watch any of his matches. The guy continues to lose and continues to let every single person get over. Has he elevated anyone since his return?
