The Main Events

WWE Raw started with Stephanie McMahon coming out to Daniel Bryan’s theme song. She talks about how monumental WWE SummerSlam was last night. She gets to talking about her match with Brie Bella and that The Authority always wins. Out comes Nikki Bella, who talks about how selfish her sister is. She continues to bash Brie until Brie comes out. Brie says she forgives her and that the family is ripped apart. Nikki says that SHE will never forgive HER. Nikki slaps her sister and walks out of the ring.

Whether you think this could work or not in the long run, it was perfect for tonight. There will be a breaking point for Brie Bella, but she needs to look vulnerable and have pity on herself. If anything, this was a positive step for the twin feud. I just hope Stephanie is not overlooked for Nikki. Steph is the best heel in the WWE right now, right? If not the best, extremely close.

Brock Lesnar is the New WWE World Heavyweight Champion

Paul Heyman announces Brock Lesnar to the crowd as their new champion, and he says John Cena isn’t there tonight. He says Cena can’t be here because Brock conquered him last night. Heyman credits John Cena for not quitting. Heyman says fans love Cena because he took a beating and continued to come back, and he really does not give up. Heyman puts him over and says if he had time he would even make Cena a Heyman Guy, and he would be considered the best champion ever. That is, if Brock Lesnar wasn’t around. He says Brock doesn’t care about Cena’s credibility because it died at Brock’s hands, just like The Undertaker was. He says the same fate awaits anyone foolish enough to challenge Brock, and they live by the motto of ‘eat, sleep, suplex, repeat’ and ‘eat, sleep, conquer… John Cena.’

This may have been the best promo from Paul Heyman in a very long time. He is just so damn good at what he says and how he says it. You have to love how Brock Lesnar is feeding off of the crowd and feeding off of the words spoken by Heyman. Paul Heyman is the best, hands down, speaker in WWE. It is so hard to explain, but you get captivated into his speech. You never want to skip past your DVR recording. You always want to hear him speak, no matter what.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
