Rusev defeated Zack Ryder
Ryder gets a quick knee up to his face, but Rusev counters. He tosses Ryder onto the mat and then makes him tap out to the Accolade. Out comes Mark Henry. Rusev retreats from the ring and heads to the back.
Rusev screams in Russian and the crowd breaks out into a USA chant. Henry says he opened an International Wing into the Hall of Pain. He talks about being the strongest man in the strongest country.
Good promo from Mark Henry tonight. This could be a really good feud, but it won’t be as hot or interesting as Swagger vs. Rusev. I like what I see from a fresh and healthy Henry. He has always been one of the smarter and more focused wrestlers when he is healthy.
Battling For Divas Championship
Stephanie McMahon comes out and says she is so happy with the empowered Nikki Bella that she is granting her a championship match. Brie Bella comes out and asks if this is what it was all about? AJ Lee comes down and says she is the Number 1 Contender and that she is getting her rematch first. Paige comes out and says she is the champion and is the only thing missing from this gathering. Brie snaps and pushes her sister, who knocks over Paige.
Well, it looks like WWE still haven’t taught Nikki Bella what words to emphasize or speak properly. She is atrocious to listen to. Aside from that, this was a really good segment. It spotlighted some of the major players in a talented pool of Divas and AJ Lee/Paige’s involvement only makes them look more important. I do not want Paige overshadowed by FOUR other women in this strange, but unique, building feud for a Divas Championship match.
