STEP UP: Sami Zayn
I really like the underdog booking of Sami Zayn. It’s not as in-your-face as Daniel Bryan, who was held down by The Authority for 9 months while he struggled to make it to the mountain top, time and time again. Sami’s struggle is more subtle, continually losing matches he should be able to win, mostly because of other individuals. It’s a slow burn, but I think eventually the program has to be Adrian Neville vs. Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship at the next quarterly live special.
