Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Thursday Feels Right”

Bad News Barrett defeated Sin Cara

wwe smackdownThe Intercontinental Champion starts off hot, but Cara gets some kicks in and is able take control. After about 4 minutes, Cara ends up hitting an armdrag and then springs off the ropes and into a Bullhammer. Barrett retains the championship.

I am not really sure why this was hyped up so much this week. Did they just want some championship match on Smackdown?

Why would you pair Barrett with Cara for two weeks? Where is the feud with Ziggler. Oh wait, they took him off of television for whatever reason.

In that case, Barrett should have feuded with someone else. Hell, even R-Truth would be a better match than him. This seemed completely random and made no sense to me.

Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins are Money

Paul Heyman goes on a rant about Brock Lesnar doing things – not because he has a reason to, but because he wanted to.

He says Lesnar had nothing against the Undertaker or John Cena, but beat them down because he wanted to.

Seth Rollins cuts him off and comes out, saying he wants to cash in tonight, but Brock Lesnar is not there.. Seth says if he can’t Curb Stomp the champ tonight, he’ll Curb Stomp Paul Heyman. He corners Heyman and asks why he shouldn’t just take him out right now.  Paul says that Brock Lesnar can either BE the champion now, or PROTECT the future champion when he decides the “future is now”. Seth Rollins stops and leaves.

Great stuff here, per usual when talking about Paul Heyman. He makes guys feel more important, doesn’t he? Seth Rollins has excelled since being Mr. Money in the Bank. I would love to see him as champion sooner rather than later. WWE knows Brock Lesnar is gone in a few months. Reigns and Rollins need to continue the path that they are on. Rollins has it all in my eyes. His mic skills are really good. He gets better and better. Aside from Ziggler, the in ring action from Rollins is second to none.
