Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Feast or Fired Shakes Things Up”

Feast or Fired

impact wrestlingThe beginning of Impact Wrestling saw TNA stir the pot a little bit. The winners of briefcases are Austin Aries, Robbie E, Rockstar Spud and Magnus. Out of all of these men, I think Magnus desperately needed a new idea. He was a World Champion for a long period of time in the company. For him to fall so far down the ladder is shocking to me. The guy has a great look and has vastly improved on the mic over the course of the year.

With Bram, I felt like Magnus was held down a little and was not the best change for him. Bram is crazy, wild and talented. He needs to be booked by himself. Quite frankly, Bram is a guy who I look at and see plenty of potential winning singles championships. I just never bought him really being in a tag team.

As for Velvet, she MUST come back. That girl has money written all over her. Talented, intelligent, easy on the eyes and a real worker who knows how to make herself better and better each time she steps into the ring.

Lashley vs. Kenny King

The Champion comes out and demands that the BDC brings his title down to him. Kenny King comes down and a match ensues.

King gets his knees up on Lashley and then kicks him in the face. He comes off the middle ropes but Lashley catches King, then he press slams King onto the rest of BDC outside of the ring. He brings Kenny back into the ring. Lashley is able to leapfrog Kenny King and hit a Spear.

The BDC runs in and causes a disqualification before Lashley can make the cover.

MVP gets in the face of Lashley and says that the only way he gets his title back is to meet him in the streets.

Even though I question the members of the BDC, I do think that they are onto something good. Lashley is a beast, a monster who does not need to say much. Look at this man carved out of stone. He is the definition of champion. MVP, on the other hand, is that sneaky former friend that tries to steal the spotlight from his much superior mate. I do think that Lashley and MVP will be a really good match. It is something new and something that has seemed to be built up for quite some time. If this is a feud that lasts a month or two, I am okay with. Longer than that will risk what damage is does to guys who are already main event talent not getting that shot.

Later in the night…(WZ Live Coverage)

Bobby Lashley and MVP meet in the streets of New york and they trade punches, then MVP throws Lashley into a door and hits him with a trash can. MVP screams that he made Lashley, then he knees him a few times but Lashley throws him through a door and back into the building. He sends MVP into a guardrail before connecting with a few punches, then Low Ki and the rest of the BDC run in and attack Lashley.

They all stomp Lashley and taunt him, then they pull him back outside and hit him but Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle run out for the save. Roode looks on the ground and sees MVP dropped the title belt, and he stares at it reluctantly as Lashley gets back up and looks at him.
