Rusev and Jack Swagger….Again

smackdown Am I in the Twilight Zone? Is it Groundhog’s Day? Come on, WWE. This is a weak attempt at keeping Rusev strong and dominant while they drag the official announcement of John Cena vs. Rusev at WrestleMania.

It shows the lack of storyline development for a character like Rusev. He limits what can and cannot be done because the primary focus has been USA vs. Russia. They need to focus more on the career of John Cena over the political nonsense.

Curtis Axel challenged Rusev to a championship match. Yep, Rusev will go from Axel to Cena in a matter of weeks. Good call.

WWE Intercontinental Championship = Smackdown Main Event

Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose picked up a victory on Smackdown against Bad News Barrett and Luke Harper. Dolph was able to avoid a big clothesline from Harper and connect with a ZigZag. After the match is where the action picks up. R-Truth tries to steal the title, while Luke Harper stops him. Daniel Bryan comes out and gets involved, starting a Yes! Chant. Out of nowhere, Stardust attacks and ends the night with the championship title in his hands.

I was not expecting Stardust to get involved here. Why? Why would you want him in this match when his brother and he can have a great, natural storyline? There should be 6 or 7 people, TOPS, involved in this match. If you add more and then make it 8-10, it’s going to be a cluster of a mess. I wish this did not happen.

Dolph vs. Harper vs. Ambrose vs. Barrett vs. Truth vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus. Let Stardust and Goldust do their own thing. No need for them here.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
