Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Sting Brings The Splash”

United States Championship Match Official

wwe rawJohn Cena comes out to talk about Rusev, but more about the United States. He talks about what this country is built on and goes through his usual intense speech. John Cena finally signs the contract and out comes Rusev. His attorney (who was God awful) talks about how he never agreed to the match.

If Rusev can say his prepared statement and not be interrupted, Cena will get his match. Rusev bashes families, children and the country. He gets through it and signs the contract, immediately tossing the table onto Cena. He runs away and the match is official.

Aside from this segment being a little too long and the absolutely brutal performance of Rusev’s attorney, this was a good segment. John Cena is not making jokes, is tapping into a personal and aggressive nature. Rusev is getting the most out of John Cena and he is the guy that is really making this feud feel legit. Rusev can be a made man after WrestleMania, win or lose.

Cesaro and Kidd defeated The New Day

Big E hits a nice belly to belly suplex. He throws Kofi into Kidd for a two count. Kofi kicks Tyson a few times in the leg and Cesaro gets the tag. He gets Kofi in the big swing and then he gets distracted by Tyson Kidd. Kofi kicks Cesaro in the face and hits a cross body for a two count. Big E takes down Tyson, but Cesaro throws him into the post. Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise, but Cesaro is able to pick up the win with a roll-up.

The loss of Jey Uso is big to this division. Arguably, the best tag team may not be at WrestleMania. Instead, Los Matadores and The New Day are getting a rub. This has me completely tuned out. Sorry, but when you bury a tag team, or two, for so long it is really hard to draw the fans in to care about them. Poor Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.
