Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “So Many Highs and So Many Lows”

John Cena on Raw

wwe raw John Cena comes out and talks about his “I Quit” match at WWE Payback and says he will never say those words on American soil. He will fight in the ring, on the stage and in the stands. He says he will never surrender. He quotes Vince Lombardi and then says he says the United States Championship is the symbol of opportunity.

Heath Slater accepts the challenge and then out comes Rusev. He attacks Slater and Lana comes out to cheers. Rusev gets angry and tells her to go backstage. The crowd chants for Lana and Rusev yells at the crowd. Rusev calls the fans quitters and says he will be just like the stupid Americans. The Russian Flag drops and the segment ends.

We all know how good Lana and Rusev have been and this was an excellent segment. No US Open Match and I feel like it is not really needed anymore. John Cena just knows how to cut a promo and is so effective with how he dictates his wording.

I also think this could be a good time for Lana and Rusev to tease a split, only for Lana to continue to help Rusev. What happens when she is on her own? I am not sure that is something WWE should do right now.

R-Truth defeated Stardust: King of the Ring Round One

Stardust hits a running bulldog and Truth kicks out. Stardust continues the attack with some kicks and more shots to R-Truth’s face. Truth battles out with some elbows and then rolls him up for a two count. Stardust kicks him in the face, followed by more quick strikes.

Truth battles back and hits a spin kick. Stardust rolls out of the way, but ends up getting hit with a dropkick. Russian Leg Sweep and both men exchange pin fall attempts. R-Truth hits a Lie Detector for the win.

Seriously? I do not get this at all. Stardust vs. Barrett would be just fine to watch, even if it is heel vs. heel. Barrett will definitely be in the finals, though. Right? Nonetheless, not a terrible match but had no real draw to it. There was not much action, not many spots. A few kicks, a few punches and a finisher. Very simplistic.

Adam Rose defeated Fandango

Yeah, Rosa causes a distraction so Adam Rose hits a Party Foul. I would have rather given this 3-4 minutes to Ryback, Dolph, Barrett, or ANYONE ELSE!

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
