Isenberg Reacts: WWE Elimination Chamber “Showcasing The Future in One Night”

Kevin Owens vs. John Cena

wwe elimination chamberKevin Owens locks up John Cena in the ring and gets taken down with a shoulder tackle. Kevin Owens hits punches, kicks, elbows and some knees to Cena’s face. Cena hits a running bulldog until Owens settles in and kicks in in the stomach. He yells at Cena on the mat and continues to strike. John Cena fights out of a headlock and Owens hits a DDT for two.

Kevin Owens continues to slow the pace with more punches and kicks, focusing on his methodical approach. Owens catches Cena and then hits a reverse back body drop.  He hits a cannonball into the corner, followed by a yell to Cena saying it is time to give up. Cena reverses a pop-up powerbomb with shoulder tackles and a side suplex. John Cena hits 5 Knuckle Shuffle and tries the AA. Kevin Owens hits a pop-up powerbomb for two. Owens heads up top, but Cena rings him up. Owens misses a moonsault and John Cena connects with an AA. Kevin Owens kicks out at two.

Both men get back up and they slug away with right hands. Owens hits a superkick and then tries the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, but gets caught with an STF. Kevin Owens hits an AA and ANOTHER two count. Cena connects with a Tornado DDT, followed up a flying leg drop. Another big move, this time by John Cena. He hits a springboard stunner and Owens kicks out at two. Owens counters a top rope move with an inverted suplex. He hits a Senton Bomb. Owens hits a pop-up powerbomb for the clean win.

Well, all I have to say is that this match was INCREDIBLE. WWE went through and gave Kevin Owens the CLEAN win. To many people’s surprise, Kevin Owens get the HUGE win. John Cena lets Kevin Owens do what he wants and you cannot argue the spectacular performance from BOTH men. Kevin Owens has arrived and he is here to stay. There is NO WAY he does not add this and continue to put himself into a main event spot on the main roster sooner rather than later. I was jaw-dropped with some of his athleticism and feel like Kevin Owens really proved himself on one of the best in WWE history.

Neville vs. Bo Dallas

Two former NXT standouts do battle, with Neville starting early with a moonsault to the outside. Bo Dallas yells and says he is trying to help him, followed up throwing him to the outside and punching him repeatedly. Dallas slows the pace down with more submission moves and Dallas knees him in the stomach.

Neville fights back with a shooting star press and a two count. Dallas connects with a nice DDT, but Neville kicks him and hits a Red Arrow for the win.

Neville and Dallas put on a good match, better than average. The spot on the card would not do anyone justice, but the athleticism of Neville shows me that WWE can throw him anywhere and have a good match. My only issue is this: Neville goes from the finals of the King of the Ring to a match thrown together just to get him on the card. I assume any match on the card means something. Hopefully, this is a place holder for something else for him.
