Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “What Did Three Hours Accomplish?”

 wwe rawPaige vs. Alicia Fox

Paige and Alicia grapple and Paige works on her arm. She drops Fox with a few boots and gets a two count. Fox connects with some forearm shots and Paige hits a body press and then Fox rolls to the outside. Paige is trapped and Fox runs her over and begins to celebrate heading into a break.

Alicia steps on her hair and pulls her up, following with a spin kick and a suplex for two. More kicks and another two count for Fox. She locks in a headlock until Paige is finally able to fight out of it. Alicia hits a big backbreaker for two. Paige hits a running knee and then more into the corner. She clotheslines Fox and the crowd gets behind her. Another kick and Paige gets a two count. Paige rolls through and picks up the win.

Paige and Alicia put on a really good match tonight. This was, by far, the best segment in the first hour. They were given time and the offensive explosion from Paige was natural and organic. The crowd was receptive and Alicia Fox showed how good she really is in the ring. Look what time does to Divas matches. Well done, ladies.

John Cena vs. Cesaro For The United States Championship

Kevin Owens comes out and it looks like he is going to answer the U.S. Open Challenge. Instead, he fools us and Cesaro answers the challenge. Cesaro locks him up and both men start to feel the other out. Cena hits a suplex, but Cesaro regroups and applies another head lock. Gutwrench suplex and another two count. Cena and Cesaro go back and forth until we head to a commercial break. Cesaro hits an elbow drop the top rope heading into a commercial break.

Cesaro hits a big Uppercut, getting a two count. After another big move, John Cena kicks out once again. Cesaro battles out of a submission hold and Cena hits a springboard stunner. Both men slug it out, with Cesaro hitting another boot and then flying up top. Cena rolls through and hits a face first slam for a two count. Kevin Owens on commentary begins to swing at Michael Cole. Cesaro kicks John Cena on the outside and Owens warns Cole not to disrespect him. He runs full speed and hits an uppercut for a two count again. Desperation kicks in and the former champion tries to hit the Neutralizer. Cena hits an innovative sunset flip type move and Cesaro connects with the Neutralizer. Kevin Owens snaps and hits his powerbomb on both men.

Cesaro is the man. John Cena has evolved so much over the past few years, becoming a legit wrestler. What an incredible match and the best one that they have in quite some time. This should tell WWE that Cesaro should be in line for, at least, an Intercontinental Championship match. If he is not going to get pushed higher than Reigns/Ambrose/Rollins/Lesnar, they are missing out. He proves himself time and time again how good and how consistent he is. I cannot remember a bad match from this guy.

Props to Cesaro, but John Cena deserves just as much credit. When you are in a match with John Cena, you immediately become more important than the previous night. He continues to get better with age. Is this the best John Cena we have ever seen? Quite possibly.
