Eight Man Tag Team Match
Lucha Dragons and Prime Time Players took on Bo Dallas and The New Day. The match accomplished a few things in my mind. Kalisto is by far the most entertaining “masked” superstar since Rey Mysterio. He is exciting, fresh and rarely makes a mistake.
I really like how Prime Time Players are being booked as champions. They look like a well oiled machine and a real tag team. This is consistency and a much needed push for Titus and Darren. I also really New Day becoming a really reliable stable. They have come so far from nobody caring whatsoever about them to becoming a really intriguing stable that gets the best out of faces.
When the time is right, Lucha Dragons will be stellar. More character development and a reason, outside of fantastic in-ring abilities, are need for Kalisto and Cara. Although the match was average, the development continues in a division that needs it.
Dolph and Lana Go Public
Dolph and Lana come out and Ziggler says that it started out as making Rusev jealous. Lana gets on the mic and says that Rusev told her how to dress, how to feel and how to feel about America. Lana says that she finally became her own person. Lana says they have become more than just friends. She calls him passionate and out comes Rusev. On one crutch, the Bulgarian Brute comes out with Summer Rae.
Rusev says he never cared about her and says that she is like a cold fish. Dolph Ziggler calls him a scumbag, calling Lana his girlfriend. Ziggler tells him to walk away. Summer Rae says that there is nothing that she hates more than a gold digger. She says the minute he got injured, she jumped ship. She says Rusev is kind, gentle and really cared about her. Summer Rae says she is nothing more than a two faced phony. Summer Rae slaps her and Lana attacks.
Lana finally gets physical. This is exactly what her character needed. We need to see more action from her, slowly. I really enjoyed that this segment was more about Lana than anyone else. Like I mentioned last week, she needs to be more of the focal point and continue to develop than more than just a suit.
