A British Point of View: WWE SummerSlam 2015 Predictions

Stephen Amell & Neville vs. Stardust & Wade Barrett

If you read my latest editorial here on WrestleZone, you’ll know that I’ve been a fan of this build. I’m looking forward to seeing what Stephen Amell can do in the ring. When you actually have a celebrity who is a fan of the product, it’s always interesting to see what their involvement will be like. We might not fully see the Green Arrow but I believe there is a few twists in this one to look forward too.

Prediction: Stephen Amell & Neville

WWE United States & World Heavyweight Championship Winner Takes All – John Cena vs. Seth Rollins

Credit where credit is due, until this past Monday, I didn’t really care for this match. However, after a great set of promos from both Rollins and Cena, this match matters. Cena’s legendary 16th title reign is a possibility and Rollins becoming a double Champion is an exciting prospect. The match will be interesting to see but the prospect of a Seth Rollins statue at WWE Headquarters is all too much for me to handle.

Prediction: Seth Rollins – Bring on the statue!

Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

The match which is too big for WrestleMania! Which makes no sense whatsoever, but who cares? it sounds cool! Paul Heyman managed to make this illogical match sound very logical when he explained that Undertaker begged Vince to let him face Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, only for him to decline. Small things like that can have a big impact and this match will surely deliver when compared to their understandably underwhelming encounter in New Orleans. WWE can go in either direction on this but giving Undertaker the advantage going in and seemingly making him the heel, my money is on Lesnar.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar – Glory, Glory, Man United… Glory… Oh wait…

So there we have it, SummerSlam. Lots of potential and with Jon Stewart hosting there should be some good fun. Let me know your predictions at beansontoastuk@msn.com, on Twitter @BeansOnToastUK or in the comments section below.
