Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Depth in Divas Division, Repeating Raw”

Cesaro defeated The Miz

wwe smackdown Cesaro and The Miz kick off the action in the ring. Miz attacks the ribs of Cesaro and tries to hit him in the stomach. He uses a referee’s distraction and attacks the ribs again, shoulders and clotheslines combining on the assault. Cesaro reverses a few moves and hits a suplex and then some uppercuts. Miz fights back, only to get caught in the Sharpshooter and Cesaro picks up the win.

Another prime example of how mismanaged Cesaro continues to be. He could easily be the most wasted talent in the WWE right now. With a meaningless match with The Miz and under 5 minutes, what is the point of this? This was nothing more than a filler and he continues to go through these patterns.

There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the most wasted talents and I talk about this and other guys on Chair Shot Reality this weekend.

Developments Between Paige and Sasha Banks

In a tag team match that lasted about 10 minutes, chaos ended the match instead of a win or loss for Paige/Lynch and Sasha/Tamina. The underlying point of this match was to show that Paige and Sasha will become a really good feud. With Charlotte and Nikki battling for the Divas Championship, there needed to be reason for the fans to continue to invest in the revolution outside of two women.

WWE did a really good job tonight at building pieces to the feuds that could really make this Divas Revolution successful. They have NEVER had this much depth before in terms of talented wrestlers. Now, they can focus more on developing multiple women at the same time in different feuds. They can all be part of something much bigger and have “the next woman up” motto.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
