Ryback vs. Bo Dallas
Bo Dallas congratulates Kevin Owens and says Ryback will never be as good as him. Owens is on commentary and Bo gets beaten down by Ryback. Clotheslines, side splash and a hip toss. Bo comes back with some punches and Ryback slugs away with forearms.
Dallas gets some offense in, hitting knees and then a few kicks to Ryback’s face. Alas, Ryback takes over and then hits a Meathook and a Shell Shock for the win.
I was surprised to see Bo not get completely squashed. This was a little refreshing, even though he ended up losing anyways. At the end of the day, Ryback and Kevin Owens will continue their feud and Ryback will get a chance to capture the Intercontinental Championship.
This feud can really bring out a lot from Ryback. He can evolve more and be able to get some help from one of the best on the mic in terms of developing his character more than just a physical meat head.
I like this for both men, even though the match with Dallas was just okay and the quick attack from Owens was average.
Ric Flair comes out and says that the proudest moment of his life is when he saw his daughter win the WWE Divas Championship last night. He introduces the new Divas Champion and out comes Charlotte.
Charlotte comes out and says she always thought he was the best and says that she loves him very much. They embrace one another, hug and she talks about her teammates. She talks about teaming up with them has been a dream of hers. She says she got two best friends in the process and tells her each one what she loves about them. Paige says that she is the one who started it and begins to turn on her teammates.
She talks about how she is talking and patronizing her and begins to tell her that a title reign will end. She says that Charlotte is a placeholder and tells Becky to back off. She says Becky is the least relevant, talks about Team BAD. She talks about Lana and Summer Rae, bashes Natalya. She talks about the Bellas and how they got to where they are at. She says Charlotte would not be here if it was not for her old man. She says woo and walks out of the ring. Nikki comes out and says “poor Charlotte.”
I will be honest. I was NOT expecting this so soon, but I love it. I think WWE needs to continue pushing Paige, Becky, Sasha and the Divas that DESERVE it. Nikki will still be around, but Paige is going to be an excellent heel. She drops her own “pipe bomb.” I love that she even bashed Divas who have nothing to do with their “Divas Revolution.” It felt real and felt personal. Excellent stuff from Paige.
