Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “They Need A Superstar, Not A Wrestler”

The Beginning of a New Authority?

wwe rawRoman Reigns vs. Rusev main events WWE Raw tonight in a really competitive match. The action was back and forth and I really enjoyed the brute physicality between the two. As the match neared the finality, King Barrett appears and hit a Bullhammer to cause the DQ. He grabbed a chair, but Roman Reigns hit him, Rusev and Sheamus to stand tall. The entire night was about the horrible 24 hours of Roman Reigns, but he ended the night with a taste of retribution.

I like Sheamus as a competitor and am holding out hope that this works. Hell, I would not mind some sort of Authority with these three guys because they bring something different to the table. Rusev can be the bruiser, while Barrett can own the mid card like he has for 4 years and Sheamus can lead all of them into the new year. With Triple H at the helm, he could use them often and put them in higher profile matches. Think if these guys stick with Triple H and get more than a month or two in the mid card. I want this to work, but fear it won’t.

WWE needs a Superstar and needs one bad. It seems to be the “Era of Middle Men.” They have so many great wrestlers, but not enough superstars. Do they continue to try and develop them, or do they give Brock more money to be around more often?
