Big Names Needing Direction

After a long promo to kick off Smackdown, a match is made between these eight guys. It was very predictable, yet entertaining. One of the most important pieces out of this match is the exposure Titus O’Neil got. We hear about how he does well for the community, but we have only been able to watch quick matches with Stardust. The guy has talent and tonight was a great way to showcase that.

I also wonder what WWE will do with Dolph Ziggler and Titus O’Neil heading into WrestleMania. The talent is there, but the direction is not. I really do think these two guys should be part of 6-8 men in a Ladder Match. Throw the United States Championship match on there. Why? Because Kalisto is extremely talented and entertaining and he needs a simple and effective storyline. This brings plenty of interest.

Overall, really good match with crossover appeal. Tag Teams need a few extra pieces to work with and Dolph/Titus/Miz were good inclusions. Good names, credible guys who don’t have anyone specific right now to feud with. The New Day ALWAYS brings it. They are the definition of consistency.

Charlotte defeated Natalya

Divas action with two of the most polished Divas. Nattie and Charotte had an incredible match in NXT, but tonight was all about Charlotte. Natalya landed her moves like usual, but Charlotte used dirty tactics to pick up the win. After the match, she locked in the Figure Four until Becky Lynch came out and made the save.

More heel work and dirty tricks from Charlotte on Smackdown, which I am beginning to warm up to. I don’t care if Ric is with her or not, but she is beginning to really annoy me (which is a good thing). She has to be a heel. Her pedigree, her look and her attitude all work much better saying she is genetically superior to everyone else. Funny thing is… she IS! Hence why she is the champion right now. She could really make some Divas rise up a huge level. Luckily, all the pressure is not on her because Becky and Sasha are already excellent. This should be fun, but the match tonight lacked real importance and desire.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
