Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Payback Focuses on Fresh Faces”

Another good match on Raw was Rusev and Sami Zayn. Zayn will face off against Kevin Owens at WWE Payback, so this was a good tune-up for him. How crazy is it that Rusev is now a guy that is being used to get new NXT guys over on the main roster? He has fallen so far down the ladder and now is in a position of futility. Zayn and Owens has this organic and natural feel of a feud, but who wins?

Who needs it more? I think Kevin Owens needs it more because WWE is really lacking on legit heels. The pool of faces is so plentiful where you can have Sami Zayn lose and still be a top performer. If Owens loses again, what is the point of having him drop the IC title?

Apollo Crews vs. Stardust

A quick backstage promo sets up this match. Crews fights off some stomps from Stardust and

ultimately picks up another win. Nothing too special aside from the fact that I worry Crews might get booed sooner rather than later. WWE must be careful and must have him in some sort of feud with a guy like Sheamus/Del Rio/Rusev to give him some sort of credibility in matches. Those three guys could really use a good feud with a fresh face.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
