Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Two Championships Raise The Bar”

Dolph Ziggler defeated Sheamus

Think of it like this: both of these men were former world champions and now only one of them is being used consistently. And when I say consistent, I mean consistently putting over the younger superstars. Yes, this was a good match but there was nothing really behind it to drive a level of intrigue.

They have fought so many times over the years that a basic singles match on Smackdown with no meaning really doesn’t connect with the crowd. As for Sheamus, why is he not being used in a potential feud against a guy like Apollo Crews? If Dolph is working with a new face, why shouldn’t Sheamus? Shouldn’t he vs. Crews be more appropriate for television time than R-Truth and Goldust?

Final Pieces of Jericho and Ambrose

Chris Jericho comes out and talks about being in every match WWE has had to offer. He talks about being crazier than Dean Ambrose and says that gives him the upper hand. Dean Ambrose is disguised as a ringside technician and attacks Jericho. He hits him with a Kendo Stick and then Jericho finally runs out of the door.

Well, they did all they can to make this interesting. They gave the fans a new match. They gave Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose some sort of creativity and they are letting them roll with it. It has ALWAYS been about execution from Dean Ambrose at the climax. Will he deliver? Will it be a moment we remember? It needs to happen at Extreme Rules. Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho needs to have some wow moments for me to warm back up to Dean Ambrose.
