Isenberg Reacts: WWE NXT “A Perfectly Glorious Bombshell’s Return”

The Perfect Attack

Tye Dillinger, the Perfect 10, picked up an easy win on NXT. Noah Potjes beats down Dillinger in the corner, but Tye Dillinger knocks him down. He stomps away at him in the corner and then eyes a finish. Tye sets up and connects with the Tye Breaker. After the match, Bobby Roode comes out and attacks his opponent for NXT Takeover: Toronto. He hits a Roode Bomb on the stage, laying out Tye Dillinger.

Some things are just so easy and so logical to book, right? With about a month left before NXT Takeover, they are allowing these guys to feud with one another in a natural way. It is not forced and shows that both men want to be the alpha in the story. Bobby Roode is from Toronto, which will give him the hometown cheers. If there is anyone who can gather some cheers away from Roode, it is Niagara Falls’ own Tye Dillinger. Tonight was another nice step in the progression of this feud.

Welcome Back, Mickie James

Asuka dominated former TNA Knockout Thea Trinidad, but this was the least of her concerns. William Regal talked about searching the world for her next opponent. We go to a shot on the tron and see Mickie James appear. She will face Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship in Toronto.

I will be the first to say that I love Mickie James and have been a huge fan of her work for many years. Even in TNA, she was able to recreate herself and be more than the simple gimmick WWE gave her after she peaked at WrestleMania against Trish Stratus. Yes, I assume Trish was the first option. This is not a bad option at all. If I really want to play devil’s advocate, I would point out that this is WWE’s answer for not having depth at all in NXT for women. Instead, I am excited to see this match and what Mickie James brings to the table. She is a positive addition inside the ring and backstage in the locker room.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
