Two Glorious Wins, One Big Failure

Bobby Roode picks up win number 2 on WWE Smackdown Live and continues his slow, but positive push to the upper card. My issue with tonight is the usage of Mike Kanellis. WWE is really dropping the ball on something that could have been excellent, with Mike and Maria using their cheesy love story as one of the top heel tandoms in the WWE. They are just as good, if given enough time and essence, to be better than The Miz and Maryse. Also, they are fresh and new so the fans will really get a clean slate on these two. Mike Kanellis is very talented in the ring and Maria looks to be at the top of her game physically and vocally. Why do they continue to book him like this?

90’s theme song is excellent. Their look is solid. They have chemistry oozing out of them. I want Mike Kanellis to be a modern day Billy Gunn or Shawn Michaels. Let him thrive in his gimmick, get over with what makes him special (Maria) and become a cowardly heel who cares too much about Maria. It is a recipe for success, not this.

Tamina Squashes Competiton

Tamina is the new Rusev, with Lana yelling crush as Tamina is in a match. No offense, but I like the dynamic of them outside of the ring but am not a huge fan of her work inside of the ring. It might have to do with Tamina looking like she just left a biker bar in South Dakota, sporting a leather jacket and jeans while competing. It might be because she was booked against a nobody, not big like Nia Jax where it comes off scary. It just seems they are trying so hard and NOBODY in the crowd cared. That is a problem.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
