#3.) Winning the WWF Championship
On an episode of The Main Event in early 1988, André The Giant once again challenged Hogan for the WWF Championship. However, with the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase trying to “buy” the title, chaos would ensue and a referee-switch and fast pin would see André The Giant end Hulk Hogan’s 4-year reign as WWF Champion.
It was the biggest achievement of André The Giant’s career, and even if it were just for a few minutes, the fact that he reached the top of the mountain was a symbol of his importance in the business. André would “sell” the title to DiBiase, after which it would be declared vacated.
