RAW, SmackDown Live Come Out Strong Following Solid Hell In A Cell

RAW has seemed to take over The Undertaker vs. HHH build-up heading into Show-Down and that has given the show a little bit of a must watch feel while the three hours can often still feel like a slog.

The Phenom is always must see, but his announcement that Kane would join him in his corner left a little to be desired. With the rumors of Shawn Michaels being ready for a return to the ring for a tag match at Crown Jewel, it seems inevitable that Show-Down would be a set up for that. Hopefully, the finish does not get messed with too much because HHH vs. Undertaker for “one last time” was quite a selling point.

As for the rest of the show, it still revolved around just The Shield and the Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre alliance, all but burying the rest of the male talent on the roster. The six-man tag match at Show-Down should be solid and the booking for Roman Reigns vs. Strowmand and Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel makes that must see.

Lesnar’s return was a nice surprise ending to Hell in a Cell, but it also just muddies up the top of the card while leaving the rest of it struggling to breathe.

The one exception continues to be Ronda Rousey. She has enough star power to carry any feud and any opponent to the top of the show and make it relevant. The random pairing with The Riott Squad works and hopefully will give a chance for Ruby Riott to really show the chops she has.

The Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens feud continues to work a little since Owens is so good that the rest of the script cannot effectively bury him, but there is plenty of talent on a three hour show not getting the work they need to rise to the top.
