WWE RAW And SmackDown Lackluster Heading Into Survivor Series

Becky is believable as “The Man” and, as stated here numerous times before, has simply seized the moment and taken the spotlight. She is believable as a threat to Rousey and would actually be elevated to mega heights if the writers were willing to let Ronda tap out at Survivor Series. Everyone has talked about Charlotte vs. Ronda as a big money match, but, if Becky could submit Ronda, Lynch vs. Rousey II could main event ANY show, including the Grandest Stage of Them All.

AJ Styles seems to be in holding pattern in place as they work him toward The Miz, because it still seems that is where everything needs to go to push back toward a serious Miz vs. Bryan payoff.

Bryan vs. Samoa Joe would be fresh, and it seems they may go in that direction coming out of the 5-on-5 elimination match at Survivor Series.

Shane McMahon winning the world cup and then being involved in the Survivor Series match is so baffling that it cannot even be properly discussed. It appears they are going to slow burn a McMahon heel turn, but it makes little sense the way they are going about it.

Shane has always been a great performer because of the ease at which he can go from heel to face and the way he can go in the ring. It seems weird to do something that really doesn’t make sense storyline wise (seriously, he won a tournament by skipping all the way until the finals?) just to start a nudge in the other direction.

Everything on the show feels a little jumbled as Styles goes to fight The Beast and there is no real clearcut feuds elsewhere.

Randy Orton attacking Rey Mysterio could lead to a solid feud that helps elevate The Viper even more. Orton is rarely given enough credit for the pace at which he works, but it is entertaining and always looks good in the heel role.

There should be a lot of answers tonight and tomorrow as the shows head into one of the big events of the year with very little proper build.
